The Scholarship Foundation officially marked the opening of its new Santa Maria office with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, April 8. Hosted in partnership with the Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce, the event drew some 40 community members.

“The Scholarship Foundation has long had a significant presence in Santa Maria, and our organization takes great pride in serving families in this wonderful community,” said Foundation President and CEO Melinda Cabrera. “North County students receive approximately half of all scholarships awarded by the Foundation each year. In addition, our organization’s Santa Maria-based program advisors actively assist local students and parents in their pursuit of college financial aid.”

The Scholarship Foundation moved to its new Santa Maria location at 1862 South Broadway Street, Suite 203, in February. The organization previously occupied an office on East Jones Street in Santa Maria. The Foundation’s main office is located at 2253 Las Positas Road in Santa Barbara. Santa Maria office visits are by appointment only.

“This is an exciting time for the Scholarship Foundation as we seek to expand our programmatic offerings to meet the evolving needs of the community. We very much appreciate the Santa Maria community’s support of our efforts on behalf of local students, and look forward to serving area families at this new location for many years to come,” said Ms. Cabrera.
