Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Heritage Scholarship Program Eligibility:
- Eligible applicants must be verified lineal descendants of the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians (SYBCI)*
- Be planning to attend as a full-time undergraduate or vocational student at a Title IV approved school in the next academic year
- Applicants may reside anywhere in the domestic United States, including outside of Santa Barbara County
You cannot complete the General Scholarship Application AND the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Heritage Scholarship Program, you must choose one. Eligible verified descendants who ALSO meet the SFSB General Eligibility requirements should complete the General Scholarship Program application and indicate their lineage by checking off the appropriate box in the “Donor Match List” task. To be eligible, you must meet the eligibility requirements listed below, complete all parts of the online application, and submit the required supplementary documents on time. Applicants will be submitted to the SYBCI for eligibility verification. *Applicants with questions regarding their eligibility should contact the SYBCI.
