The coronavirus pandemic prevented Casa Dorinda residents from gathering to celebrate this year’s Casa Dorinda Scholarship recipients, so many of the recipients contributed to the video montage below. In all, 24 students will receive scholarships totaling $85,000 from Casa Dorinda residents in the coming academic year. The scholarship program is open to employees of the retirement community and their children. Administered by the Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara, the Casa Dorinda Scholarship Fund has awarded 681 scholarships totaling $1,442,226 since 1998.
